● Support this work

We’re building something that doesn’t fit neatly into traditional funding.

It’s adaptive, long-term, and rooted in place, which makes it harder to fund in standard ways.

At the same time, we’re committed to doing this properly.

That means paying people for their time, creating real roles, and making it possible for people, especially young people in rural areas, to do this work where they live.

This has only been possible because of the support around us.

We want to keep it that way.

Ways you can support us

If this work resonates, there are a few ways to support it.

Whether that’s financially, through your skills and time, or by helping more people find it, each plays a role in keeping this work going.

  • Financial support is what makes this work possible.

We’re not a volunteer-run organisation. Our core cost is people, paying local people to do this work, creating roles where they wouldn’t otherwise exist, and giving time and stability to build something long-term.

That means regular, reliable income really matters.

You can support us through a safe and secure platform called Open Collective, where you can choose a monthly contribution or a one-off donation.

  • If you’ve got something to offer, legal, financial, creative, practical, or anything else, it can be genuinely useful.

We can connect you with work happening locally, or with people and projects who would benefit from your support.

Please contact laura@thislivingplace.co.uk with a clear outline of what you can offer, what you’d like to be involved in and how much time you could dedicate to it.

  • Follow along, share what we’re doing, and help more people find this work.
